Post-Construction Office Cleaning in NYC
Contractors build. They do not clean, whatever the contract says. After a build-out or renovation, drywall dust is in the vents, on every ledge, inside every cabinet, and it keeps settling for weeks. We clear it in phases so your team moves into a finished office, not a job site.
- Phased rough and final cleans
- Fine dust cleared, not spread
- Fully insured, COI on request
Cleaning since 2012
Construction dust does not leave on its own
Drywall, concrete, and sawdust settle into everything: HVAC vents, light fixtures, window tracks, the tops of door frames, the inside of the new cabinets. A regular cleaning crew pushes it around. A post-construction clean uses HEPA vacuums, tack cloths, and a phased approach that gets it out for good.
We work with your GC's schedule, do a rough clean after the trades finish, and a final detail clean once the punch list is closed, so the office is ready for furniture and people.
What post-construction cleaning covers
Two phases. The rough clean removes debris and the bulk of the dust. The final clean details every surface for handover.
Fine dust removal
HEPA vacuuming and tack-cloth wiping of every surface, high and low, in both phases.
Vents, fixtures & ledges
HVAC grilles, lights, door frames, and the tops of everything, where dust hides longest.
Debris & residue
Adhesive, paint overspray, stickers, and labels removed from glass, fixtures, and floors.
Floors, sealed and detailed
New wood, tile, or polished concrete cleaned to the manufacturer's spec, then protected.
Glass & windows
Interior glass, tracks, and sills detailed, with construction film and labels removed.
Cabinets, closets & restrooms
Inside and out, then disinfected, so the office is ready for people, not just photos.
The final clean is the one people remember
The rough clean is muscle. The final clean is where a job site becomes an office: fingerprints off the new glass, dust out of the new vents, every handle disinfected. It is scheduled after the last trade leaves, and it is the clean your team walks into.

Why you need a specialist after a build-out
Dust keeps settling
Fine construction dust falls out of the air for weeks. Cleaning once is not enough. Phasing is.
New finishes are fragile
Fresh wood, stone, and paint are easy to damage with the wrong product. We match the method to the material.
HVAC and air quality
Dust in the vents circulates for months. Clearing it is a health issue, not a cosmetic one.
The handover photo
Your architect, your landlord, and your team all want the same thing: the finished office, actually finished.
From job site to office, in two clean phases.
A crew that has cleaned up after a lot of contractors
Post-construction cleaning is its own skill. Breezy crews are trained on HEPA equipment, residue removal, and new-finish care, and they coordinate with GCs and building management every week. The result is a handover you do not have to redo.
- W-2 crews trained on post-construction work
- HEPA vacuums and tack cloths, not brooms that spread dust
- Product matched to new wood, stone, glass, and paint
- Fully insured, with a COI to your building and GC on request
- Rolls into a move-in clean and nightly service with the same crew
Post-construction cleaning pricing in NYC
Quoted in crew hours from a site walk near the end of the build. Post-construction work runs heavier than a standard deep clean because of the dust load and the two-phase approach.
Debris hauling and dumpster fees are passed through at cost. These are starting ranges, not quotes. Get an instant estimate or book a free walk-through for an exact, hours-based quote.
What onboarding looks like
From the walk-through to the first check-in, here is how a new account starts. Most offices go from first call to first visit in about a week.
- Day 1
Walk-through and quote
We walk your space with you, listen to what matters, and build the checklist. You get an hours-based quote, usually within a business day.
- Days 2 to 4
Building paperwork
COI to your building or landlord, vendor onboarding, badging, keys or access codes, and the freight and after-hours windows your building requires.
- First visit
The crew lead walks it with you
Your crew lead is on site for the first visit, working from the checklist you approved. Same faces from then on.
- End of week one
Check-in and adjustments
A quick call or walk to confirm the scope is right. Anything that needs changing is changed on the next visit.

Guides from the Breezy team on what the work covers, what it costs, and how to get it right in a NYC office.

Office deep cleaning in NYC: what to expect, room by room.
You booked a deep clean. Here is what should actually happen in each room, in what order, and how to tell a real one from an expensive nightly visit.

Regular cleaning vs deep cleaning: what each one covers.
Nightly cleaning is maintenance. A deep clean is a reset. Offices that confuse the two end up paying for the wrong one.

The office cleaning checklist you can hand any crew.
Nightly, weekly, and quarterly, room by room. Print it, tape it inside the supply closet, and stop wondering whether the kitchen floor was on the list.
Post-Construction FAQ
When should the post-construction clean happen?
Rough clean after the trades finish and before flooring protection comes up. Final clean after the punch list is closed and before furniture arrives. We coordinate both with your GC.
Does the contractor's broom clean count?
No. A broom clean removes debris. It leaves fine dust on every surface and in every vent, and it usually spreads more than it removes.
Can you work while the trades are still on site?
For the rough clean, yes, in coordination with the GC. The final clean needs the space to ourselves.
What about the dust that keeps appearing for weeks?
That is why we phase it, and why many clients add a follow-up detail two weeks after move-in. We will tell you if your space needs it.
Are you insured, and can you send a COI?
Yes. We carry full general liability and workers' comp, and we send a Certificate of Insurance to your building or office manager on request. Ask and it goes out fast, usually within a business day or two.
Are your cleaners employees or contractors?
Employees. Every Breezy cleaner is a W-2 hire we train, insure, and keep. We are one of the only W-2 office cleaning companies in New York, and it is the reason a familiar crew shows up instead of a rotating cast of strangers.
