We built this site to WCAG 2.1 Level AA as a target: real contrast, keyboard navigation, visible focus, honest alt text, reduced-motion support. If something on it does not work for you, tell us and we will fix it.

We want every person who lands on breezynyc.com to be able to read it, navigate it, and reach us, whether they are using a screen reader, a keyboard, voice control, magnification, or a phone in bright sun on Sixth Avenue. Accessibility is not a plugin we bolted on. It was part of how the pages were built.

We measure this site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the benchmark referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act and adopted widely across the industry. We consider the site substantially conformant and we treat any gap as a bug rather than a footnote.
What we have done

- Text and interface colors chosen to meet or beat AA contrast ratios, including the light type on photography.
- Every interactive element reachable and operable by keyboard alone, in a sensible order, with a visible focus style we did not delete for looking untidy.
- A skip-to-content link as the first stop on every page.
- Semantic headings in real order, landmark regions, and lists marked up as lists, so screen readers can move through a page structurally.
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology instead of announced as noise.
- Form fields with real associated labels, clear error messaging, and touch targets sized for thumbs.
- Full support for
prefers-reduced-motion: if your system asks for less animation, this site does not animate. - Layouts that reflow to 320 pixels and survive 200 percent zoom without horizontal scrolling or clipped content.
- Text sized in relative units so your browser's font size setting is honored.
Known limitations
In shortVideo captions and third-party content are where the honest gaps are.
Background video on this site is decorative, silent, and carries no information that is not also in the text around it, so it is not captioned. Any future video with spoken content will be captioned.
Where we embed or link to third-party content such as Google Maps or review platforms, that content is under their control and we cannot guarantee its accessibility. If a third-party element blocks you from something you need, contact us and we will get you the information another way.
