Office deep cleaning in NYC: what to expect, room by room.
You booked a deep clean. Here is what should actually happen in each room, in what order, and how to tell a real one from an expensive nightly visit.
A deep clean is easy to sell and hard to verify. Every company offers one. Fewer actually do the reach work that separates it from a long nightly visit. So here is what a real office deep clean looks like, room by room, in the order a good crew works.
Before the crew arrives
You clear desks of anything you do not want touched, empty the fridge of anything you want to keep, and flag anything fragile or off limits. The crew lead confirms building access, freight timing, and where the water and power are. Deep cleans are scheduled after hours or on a weekend, because furniture moves and machines run.
Order of operations
Top to bottom, dry before wet, back of the office to the front. That order is not fussy. Dust that comes off a vent lands on a desk, so the vent goes first. Carpet is extracted last because it needs hours to dry. The front of the office is done last so nobody tracks through it.
Open plan and desks
- Vents, returns, and light fixtures dusted and wiped
- Tops of cabinets, shelves, and partitions that the nightly crew cannot reach
- Desks cleared of dust underneath monitors and behind cables, with electronics-safe product on request
- Chairs wiped down, arms and bases included, with upholstery spot cleaned or extracted
- Baseboards and door frames detailed, walls spot cleaned
- Floors edged into the corners, then vacuumed or machine scrubbed, then carpet extracted where needed
Conference rooms and phone booths
Glass on every side, every height, including the tracks and the door edges. The table is cleaned with the right product for its finish; a walnut table and a glass table are not the same job. AV surfaces get the electronics-safe treatment. Whiteboards are left alone unless you ask, because a deep clean is not the day to erase the quarter's plan.
Kitchen
This is where a deep clean earns its price. The fridge is emptied, shelves out, cleaned and disinfected. The microwave, the coffee machine, the dishwasher filter, the toaster crumb tray. Cabinet fronts and insides, the backsplash, the underside of the counter edge, and the floor under the fridge if it moves. The trash area gets scrubbed, not just re-lined.
Restrooms
Grout, fixtures, the underside of every rim, behind every base, the partitions at full height, and the vents. Dispensers are taken apart and cleaned inside. The floor drain is cleaned and flushed. Then a full disinfection pass with the same hospital-grade product used nightly, left to dwell for the full contact time before it is wiped.
The disinfection pass
A deep clean finishes with disinfection across the whole office, not just the high-touch points. Handles, switches, shared equipment, every restroom fixture, and the kitchen counters, applied and left for the product's dwell time. It is the same product and method our crews use nightly. On a deep clean it simply covers everything.
Time and cost
Plan on two to four times the hours of your nightly visit. A 5,000 square foot office takes 8 to 16 crew hours, about $250 to $620 at Breezy's hourly rate. A 5,000 to 15,000 square foot office takes 16 to 40 hours, about $470 to $1,550. Larger floors are split into sessions and start around $1,200. After
The crew lead walks the office before anyone leaves. You get a message the next morning with anything they noticed that is not a cleaning problem: a leaking faucet, a vent that will not close, the drawer that came off its track. Then the nightly crew takes over from a clean baseline, which is the point.
